Last week, students in 3rd grade continued their explorations of force and motion. We looked at magnets and their interactions. First, students sorted a variety of materials and made predictions about if they would interact with a magnet or not. Then we tested the items. A lot of discoveries were made!
Then students used a ruler to test pushes or pulls when magnets came near a SECOND magnet with the same pole or the opposite pole. I wonder how we can use these magnets in our tiger rescue designs! Stay tuned...
