Over the past few weeks, students have building skills in order to solve our problem- to rescue a tiger from a moat in a zoo! We have been learning about force, motion, gravity, and simple machines. We also completed a scavenger hunt to really learn about our VEX kits, where pieces are located, and how they work. This week we started building simple machines. ALL of these activities will help us work together to build something to rescue the tiger (without hurting her... after all, real engineers have design constraints)!
Here you can see some of our work. Students have been working diligently to familiarize themselves with the VEX iq kit pieces, share technology, and problem solve through construction issues. WOW! Check back next time to see more of our work through this unit!
